I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with eight years of experience in the human services field, thus far. I began my work as a TSS after graduating from Shippensburg University with my Bachelors of Social Work. I worked with children on the Autism Spectrum and other behavioral disorders. I assisted families and teachers by creating and implementing behavior management strategies. After completing my Masters of Social Work from Shippensburg University, I continued to work with children and families as a Mobile Therapist. I then proceeded to work in an outpatient counseling office, where I worked towards my clinical license. I met with individuals, couples, groups, and families to address anxiety, depression, addiction/recovery, trauma, stress management, anger management, and grief. I have experience working with children, teens, adults, and geriatrics. I more recently have gained experience working with individuals living in Long Term Care facilities who experience emotional distress related to cognitive changes, ailing health, grief, and transition of life concerns.
As a therapist, I pride myself on being compassionate, empathetic, and encouraging with individuals to address their therapeutic goals. I believe that people start the healing process once they feel validated and heard. I strive to assist individuals in their change process by building awareness to themselves, developing meaningful coping skills, and connecting with positive people and creative outlets.
